Adolescent Wellness and Recovery Education (AWARE)
Monday through Friday, 11:00 am-7:30 pm
The AWARE After-School Adolescent Partial Program at St. Mary's Hospital is a partial hospitalization program serving youth between the ages of 11 and 17 who exhibit psychiatric and emotional needs. AWARE provides group therapy, family support, psychiatric evaluations, medication monitoring, and creative arts therapies to adolescents diagnosed with psychiatric disorders.

Groups include Current Events, Decision Making, Self-Care, Personal Narrative, Structural Interactive, CBT, Coping, Art Therapy, Relationship Development, Strength & Resiliency, and Communication Group. Snacks are provided.

Program for Enhancement, Acceptance, Creativity & Empowerment (PEACE)
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am-3:30 pm
PEACE Adolescent Partial Program serves adolescents ages 11-17. The PEACE program provides intensive daily group therapy, educational classes, family support, psychiatric evaluations, medication monitoring, and creative arts therapies to adolescents diagnosed with psychiatric disorders. Groups include Current Events, Decision Making, Self-Care, Personal Narrative, Structural Interactive, CBT, Coping, Art Therapy, Relationship Development, Strength & Resiliency, and Communication Group. Lunch and Snacks are provided.

Eligibility Requirements for both AWARE & PEACE:

• Ages 11 to 17
• Primary Psychiatric Diagnosis
• Sufficiently psychiatrically stable, such that he/she/they are not a danger to him/her/themselves
• Youth must be willing to participate in the program, follow the program rules and regulations.
• Passaic County Resident (Modivcare Medicaid insurance covers within a 20-mile radius)
• An identified need for improvement in two or more life domains due to psychiatric symptoms.
