Hispanic Council On Social Policy Center For Community Development Corporation (HCSPCCD) is a community driven multi-purpose social services agency. The Hispanic Council was created as a witness to the unique human needs of the under-served minority groups suffering from a wide array of social disparities within the County of Passaic.

Our organization strives to create and provide resources needed for the advancement of people unable to surpass socio-economic situations beyond their control. We aspire to nurture the development of youth and families in regards to education-development and prevention of high-risk behaviors. We intend to further outreach to all at-risk populations regardless of race, creed or national origin in an effort to advocate for social justice.

Services:

Passaic County Peer to Peer Support
Group's Objective: Become a resource to parents and guardians with children experiencing complex behavioral issues within home & school. Create an environment of trust for parents seeking information, support and guidance. Advocate on behalf of the family for service delivery. Benefits: Sharing with others on your experiences in an effort to learn and build on them.Advocating as a group for the needs of children and families and becoming self empowered. Learn to access vital entitlement services for your family from county and state authorities.

Youth Partnership
The Youth Partnership of Passaic County was initiated to provide a safe group environment for youngsters facing unique mental health needs. The group encourages overcoming stigma as well understanding and awareness of mental health challenges and treatment. The group is open to youth ages 13 to 21 currently underserved by the local CMO, FSO, "NJ Children's System of Care".

Hispanic Option On Language Advancement (Programa HOLA)
Goals & Objectives: *HOLA will support and assist students acquire english speaking skills necessary for academic success in a global, multicultural society. *HOLA will provide an opportunity for students to develop the basic ability to comprehend and respond appropriately to simplified spoken English and to produce basic spoken English in academic and social situations. *HOLA will improve our students' ability to comprehend and use grammatical structures of written and spoken English in an academic context. *HOLA will develop our students' career-related language proficiency; to enhance students' awareness of and confidence in career-related and cross-cultural communication and workplace.

Supportive Services: Holding true our promise to the community those enrolled in "Program HOLA" will benefit from basic social services including but not limited to:

  • Guidance and support in the areas of employment
  • Educational orientation (for higher education)
  • Referral to community services (if needed)
  • Other services as per case basis
