NEXTPO: A Career Exploration in the Lab

NEXTPO NY/NJ is an immersive, hands-on lab experience for middle school students to explore careers in medical science. Led by medical school faculty, students will rotate through activities including ABO/Rh blood typing, examining a mock breast lumpectomy specimen, staining and microscopy of real breast tissue, and forensic analysis of gunpowder stippling patterns. All activities are conducted in English.
Two sessions available:
Friday, August 14, 7:00PM-9:30PM
Saturday, August 15, 10:00AM-12:30PM
Ages: 6th-8th graders
Fee: $40 per student
Location: Give Chances, 101B Broad Ave, Palisades Park, NJ 07650
