The Adolescent Partial Program at St. Mary’s Hospital is a partial hospitalization program serving children and adolescents in Passaic County between the ages of 11 and 17 who exhibit significant psychiatric, emotional, or behavioral disturbances. The program provides intensive therapeutic and psychiatric services 5 days a week and aims to prevent hospitalization, re-hospitalization, and/or out-of-home placement in addition to the development of an improved overall level of functioning in each life domain.

Adolescent PHP at St. Mary's (PHP) is an intensive therapeutic program for adolescents and young adults who are in need of a level of care higher than traditional outpatient services.   

AWARE provides group therapy, family therapy, psychiatric evaluations, medication monitoring, and creative arts therapies to adolescents diagnosed with a range of psychiatric disorders. Groups include Coping, Anger Management, Social Skills, Communication, Maintenance, Symptom Recognition, and Goal Review, among others.  The program is after school (4:00 P.M. to 8:00), and dinner is provided.  Transportation is provided to youth throughout Passaic County through Logisticare. Youth participate in a behaviorally oriented incentive system, which includes special groups and monthly field trips.

Eligibility	Must be between the ages of 11 and 17. Must be a current resident of Passaic County. Must have a primary psychiatric diagnosis. Must be sufficiently psychiatrically stable, such that he/she is not a danger to him/herself or others. •Must be willing to participate in group-oriented and structured after-school programming. Must be willing to follow the rules and regulations of the program.
