Family and Youth Services
Family and Youth Services is a New Jersey Children’s System of Care (CSOC) authorized Intensive In-Community provider of behavioral health counseling services. We seek to empower youth at-risk and their families to meet their goals for safety, stability, belonging and success by providing a continuum of individualized services and advocacy.
Family and Youth Services is committed to our community and wants to make a difference in the lives of every youth and family we serve. Through a combination of support strategies, including mental health counseling, family therapy, behavior strategies, family systems interventions, coordination with community providers and referrals, we help young people overcome steep barriers, identify their talents and goals, and strive to achieve their full potential.
INTENSIVE IN-COMMUNITY (IIC's)
At Family and Youth Services we offer time-limited individual and family therapy services. Our therapists will work with families to develop an individualized treatment plan reflecting the family's strengths, needs, goals and various treatment techniques. It is our goal to stabilize the family, transfer our skills and transition our families to community based services and supports.
Our therapists have experience working with children and youth dealing with a range of challenges including: difficulty at home and school, ADHD, Autism, IEP's, substance abuse, suicidal ideation, LGBTQ, self-harm, oppositional defiant disorder and depression.
BEHAVIORAL ASSISTANTS (BA)
Behavioral Assistants (BA) provide services that focus on behavioral modification, coping skills, and modeling appropriate behaviors. Behavioral Assistants are specially trained to work with children and adolescents on decreasing undesired behaviors and developing new positive behavior.
