OUTPATIENT SERVICES
Cooperative Counseling Services operates multiple DOH licensed Outpatient Mental Health Clinics. Cooperative Counseling Services is committed to helping youth with emotional and behavioral health concerns, maintain stability and achieve personal goals in an Outpatient setting. Treatment, care, and support services are provided in a context that is youth-centered, family-focused, strength-based, culturally competent, and responsive to each child’s psychosocial, developmental, and treatment care needs. Youth and their families are involved in every step of the treatment process and drive the goals, interventions, and strategies.

Individual and Family sessions are conducted in a respectful partnership with children and their families. Our clinicians are licensed, highly skilled, caring professionals with clinical expertise in areas such as Trauma-Focused Therapy, Family Therapy, Behavioral Modification, Play Therapy, and Grief Counseling. Many of our clinicians have been trained in treatment modalities specifically for children who have experienced trauma, including the ARC Framework and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Additionally, our clinical and support staff have diverse ethnic/cultural backgrounds and provide services in Spanish.

Psychiatric services are offered by a Board-Certified Psychiatrist and Advanced Practice Nurses to evaluate, prescribe and monitor youth receiving psychotropic medications. Medication education is offered to all youth and their families. Therapeutic services are offered in conjunction with medication management to increase successful outcomes.

Our Outpatient Program provides:

  • Individual and Family Therapy for children and young adults, ages 3 to 20, and their families in a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Psychiatric Evaluations and Medication Management are provided by a Board-Certified Psychiatrist and/or APN.
  • Outpatient services for children and adolescents struggling with various issues such as depression, anxiety, defiance, anger, ADHD, bullying, parent-child conflicts, and interpersonal relationships.
  • Highly skilled, caring professionals specializing in Trauma-Focused Therapy, Family Therapy, Play Therapy, and Grief Counseling.
  • Afternoon and evening appointments.

INTENSIVE IN-COMMUNITY SERVICES
Cooperative Counseling Services is an Intensive In-Community Service provider within the Division of Children’s System of Care (CSOC). Services are delivered to youth with behavioral health needs and are designed to help maintain children in the least restrictive setting and to preserve their home environment. Services are also provided to youth who are returning from out-of-home care or psychiatric hospitalization and require intensive community-based services or are at imminent risk of placement due to mental health issues, emotional disturbance, or substance abuse.

The intent of this service is to provide the clinical intervention and support necessary to successfully maintain each child in his or her home or community. The goal is to provide a degree of clinical care and supervision in the home and community setting that is appropriate to children discharged from a more restrictive setting (e.g., residential, psychiatric hospitalization), or as an alternative to a more restrictive setting. All treatment, care, and support services must be provided in a context that is child-centered, family-focused, strength-based, culturally competent, and responsive to each child’s psychosocial, developmental, and treatment care needs.

A team of highly dedicated licensed clinical therapists and certified behavioral assistants are matched with families and youth who request services and work to help them meet their individualized goals. Service plans are developed with the family and youth to ensure that goals are measurable, short-term, and solution-focused.

When working with Cooperative Counseling Services’, Intensive In-Community program, a family should expect to work with highly skilled, clinically licensed professionals; and CSOC-Certified Behavioral Assistants. Families are informed when the clinician is not yet fully licensed and under the clinical supervision of a clinically licensed professional.
