NJ VET 2 VET: For Soldiers, Veterans, and Families

New Jersey Vet2Vet is a 24 hour/7-day a week helpline coordinated by Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care. The helpline features peer counseling for Veterans, members of the Air/Army National Guard, and family members. Another component is providing this population access to a support network of mental health professionals.

NO MORE: Against Domestic Violence

NO MORE is a public awareness and engagement campaign focused on ending domestic violence and sexual assault by breaking social stigmas, normalizing the conversation, and increasing resources to address these issues on the local, state, and national levels.

Oasis Workplace Readiness Program for Women


Oasis changes lives by providing multiple educational opportunities to women looking to rise out of poverty.  Supervised childcare is provided for children up to age 5 to ensure our adult students can make a commitment to their education.

Options Counseling Center


Options Counseling Center is a licensed mental health and substance abuse treatment facility. We provide comprehensive services for adolescents, adults, and concerned family members and friends who are suffering from the effects of mental illness and/or addiction.

Outpatient Mental Health Clinic

Passaic / Bergen Brain Injury Support Group

Fair Lawn

Brain Injury support groups are an opportunity for both persons with brain injury and their family members to discuss the difficulties and hardships they are facing, as well as the accomplishments and joys in their life. This free group meets at Rehabilitation Specialists on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm.

Passaic County 4-H Youth Development


The 4-H Youth Development program uses a learn-by-doing approach to enable youth to develop the knowledge, attitudes, and skills they need to become competent, caring, and contributing citizens of the world.

Passaic County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children


Passaic County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) champions the best interests of children in the child welfare system. We recruit, train, and supervise volunteer advocates for children in foster care, as well as run a new initiative called Safe Babies Court Team (SBCT) which supports families of very young children who are at risk of having their children removed.

Passaic County Prosecutor's Office


Provides orientation to criminal justice system, case status info, escort to courtroom and childcare while testifying. Assists with Victims of Crime Compensation Board applications, with application for court consideration, and with Victim Impact Statement. Provides referrals to social service agencies.

Passaic County Women's Center (PCWC)


Drop-in center and Emergency Housing for abused women and their dependent children. Operates sexual assault hotline for the counseling. Provides counseling, children services, community education, information and referral, and legal advocacy.

Passaic Teen Center


Emergency shelter and group home for 14 runaway, homeless and abused young men ages 11-17.

Paterson Community Health Center


The mission of the Paterson Community Health Center is to provide quality and respectful health care to the greater Paterson community, especially to the uninsured and underinsured.

Paterson Counseling Center Substance Abuse Treatment


Offers ambulatory detox, methadone maintenance, and drug-free outpatient treatment. Special programs include free prenatal care, free methadone maintenance, and support services for heroin-addicted pregnant women.

Offers year-round pre-kindergarten program that uses Montessori-oriented materials and is licensed by the state of NJ.

The Paterson Division of Health operates a Sexually Transmitted Disease clinic on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 8:45 am-1:00 pm.

Staff assisted job search, reemployment services, older workers program, employment case management, on the job training, tuition waivers, and information and referral services.

Paterson YMCA Aging Out Youth Program


Federally funded, title N-E Independent Living Program designed to prepare adolescent foster children for emancipation from the foster care system. An individual living plan is developed for each child according to their individual strengths and needs. Training in finance, home management, employment skills, and educational advancement are among the life skills training provided. Clients receive individual and group counseling as well.
